DJ Sbu joins P Diddy’s Revolt TV network

His podcast The Hustlers Corner Global which focuses on personal development, hosting “hustlers” from different industries to inspire a new generation, was added to the Revolt TV network and is set to launch by the end of June. “I am going to be one of those people who amplify the younger voices who are not global yet. It's going to be my responsibility to amplify the younger voices who are doing incredible things in our African continent. I don't even look at this as my win, I look at it as a chance to amplify young talent as much as possible,” he told TshisaLIVE.

“I'm an entrepreneur and an advocate for African voices. As much as I can access the American market I will take advantage of that opportunity. I want to grow with them. I see their vision. I have to be a good representative for not only the country but for the continent. It just means bigger and better things.” Having been in the entertainment business for more than two decades, Sbu said he never imagined he would be introduced to a global market in this way. Towards the end of 2022, Sbu jetted off to the US, spending four months in the country. During his trip, he got to play an amapiano mix on a popular show called Sway in The Morning, and got to mingle with P Diddy's partners who spoke about their vision to expand into Africa. “I've always known YouTube was the platform that was going to blow up a lot of South Africans internationally. Little did I know my journey would happen sooner.

I thought it would happen when one is over a million subscribers. “I knew at some point my career would interest people overseas, so this is only the beginning. It might have happened at a later stage in my career when I am a seasoned broadcaster, but I'm glad it's happening now when I am more mature, smarter, focused, and stable. I am solid with my decisions. I am no longer excited by money or celebrity life. I am more sober-minded.” Sbu said his followers have a lot to anticipate from him this year as he plans to release a book simultaneously with an album where he will be answering all the questions his fans have had about him. “I will be revealing a lot of things people didn't know about me. I will be speaking out. I have always kept quiet about a lot of things and a lot of narratives that have been out there about me.

I will be revealing more of the journey I have been going through. People have been seeing me hugging trees, walking barefoot, and want to understand more about it, people have been hearing rumours of me being broke, and want to hear my perspective. The book will explain.” Throughout his career, Sbu has been known as a “hustler” of note, and he has his eggs in many baskets. His recent venture is in the property industry where he has embarked on a project to build an estate called Ngonyama Lifestyle Estate and he has more than 100 investors backing him.
